It's been afew years since the first Training school it was what 1992??? I knew alot of people back then and was told alot of negative experiences which I would brush aside. I spoke with the Brother involved a number of times but we were not best friends or anything.

Surely they could let him keep the money he was making on the side, and allow him to continue as a Missionary. He thought it was morally wrong for them to make him hand over his pay check to a rich ORG. considering that missionaries live on "peanuts" from Bethel.

Massive burn-out...galandualr fever....like most of my old Pioneer friends...you just hit a wall after many years of this. Chronic fatigue is a Witness desease.

A snake in the garden
by freedomfighter inthe last 3 circuit assemblys that i attended the following was announced - " a snake has been sighted in the gardens around our assembley hall.
please keep your children out of the garden areas".
the first time this was announced there were a few gasps from concerned parents.

The Raby Assembly hall is very nice, better then the ratty Greenacre factory we once used. But thousands of dollars in fee's to use the hall?? Why??? We built it, volunteers clean and care for it, so why do we pay so much. Do you think the snake maybe is real?? It is in the country, although we never had snakes when I was there.

The society had to send him in as an English teacher otherwise Missionaries are not given Visa's. So on assignment he had to teach english part-time for a small wage. What he was shocked to discover was that they insisted he hand over his teaching wages to the society since he was "their" missionary, and recieved a small amount of money from them. This did not go down too well with this intelligent fellow...so scratch one missionary, not a good start for the first school...this experience did not make it into the Yearbook.

Excitement central at the homestead today
